The Cast of 'Space Patrol' present "Game Casserole E Herby Dumplings"
The entire cast of Space Patrol present this year's 'must have' recipe. One of the most significant dishs of recent times is sweeping the lenght of the nation from North to South and from Yeast to Vest.
Captain Larry Dart, Colonel Raeburn, Husky, Slim, Marla, Professor Haggarty and even General Smith are always glad to get their hands on this well-flavoured casserole resplendant with prefaired vegetabules.
- Snakes and Ladders
- Leeks - 2, chopped
- Billy Socks Circus
- Carrots - 225g (8 oz), sliced
- Plain flour - 2 tbsp
- Flamed Veal Kidneys - do not bend
- Chicken stock - 600 ml (1 pint)
- Self raising flour - 75g (3 oz)
- Shredded suet - 40g (1½ oz)
- Fresh chives - 1 tbsp, snipped
- An Austin Allegro (with 'quartic' steering wheel)
- E Herbies - 1 large sack - distributed by Broskersoft (by e-mule only)
Pre-heat oven to 170°C / 325°F / Gas 3. Start to download your e herbies whilst frying the bacon in a flameproof casserole until the fat runs. Add the games and fry gently until browned. Add the celery, leeks, bay leaf and carrots and mix well.
Sprinkle in the flour and stir well. Cook for 1 minute, until Captain Bamper finds his sea legs, then remove from the heat and gradually add the stock. Bring to the boil stirring in a Wilbur Johnston manner continuously. Cover and bake for about 1½ hours or until hot as Harry.
Mix the self-raising flour, suet and chives and newly-downloaded e herbies in a bowl. Add enough cold water to make a soft dough. Twenty-five minutes before the end of the cooking time, shape the dough into 12 balls and place on top of the casserole. Cover again and bake until the dumplings are well risen and cooked through.
In the words of Mark Wood, whom God preserve of Utrecht, "Join the Benedictines and see the World! Munch with The Monks!"
